Families who are struggling financially often don’t have money for backpacks and school supplies. Dedicated teachers try to help by spending, on average, $750 to $1,000 of their salary on supplies for their students and classrooms.

The Altamonte Springs Police Department is partnering with Tools 4 Seminole Schools, which provides free supplies to Seminole County teachers and students in need, to help keep the shelves stocked. Officers will be onsite to collect donations.

The Walmart located at 200 S State Road 434 Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 will be the drop-by location to donate supplies on Saturday, September 26 between 10am – 2pm
