Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a pickup truck and a pedestrian in Pinellas County last night at approximately 8:23 pm, which resulted in the death of the pedestrian.
According to the report, a pickup truck driven by a 45-year-old Largo man was traveling northbound on Starkey Road north of Park Boulevard. At the same time a pedestrian, a 64-year-old man from Seminole, was walking westbound across Starkey Road and entered the path of the pickup. As a result, the pickup collided with the man, who was transported to a local hospital, but was later pronounced deceased from the injuries sustained in the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver or the deceased pedestrian.
