From the Florida Highway Patrol
The Florida Highway Patrol concluded its investigation of a two-car collision on Lake Howell Road on April 4th and charged 27-year old Andrake Bryant of Casselberry with Leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, Reckless driving causing serious bodily injury, Driving while license suspended, and Fleeing and attempting to allude causing serious bodily injury
At approximately 3:40 PM on April 4th, Bryant was traveling northbound on the southbound roads of Lake Howell Road at a high rate of speed. The second vehicle (a 2008 Ford SUV) was traveling northbound on Lake Howell Road in front of Bryant and slowed to make a left turn onto Tuscarora Trail.
As Bryant approached, he attempted to slow and lost control of the vehicle, striking the rear of the Ford SUV. Bryant then fled the scene on foot. The vehicle, a 1992 Chevy, had been reported stolen before the crash, according to the FHP’s report.
The driver and passenger in the Ford sustained critical injuries and were transported to Florida Health and Arnold Palmer hospitals.
Bryant was arrested and transported to the Seminole County where he is being held on a combined bond of $22,000.
