From the City of Longwood
At the end-of-month Longwood City Commission Meeting last week, Michael Kryger, Owner and Independent Agent of Pegasus Insurance Agency, was presented with the Business Person of the Month Award for September 2020.
Kryger has been a Longwood resident since the age of five. He is a graduate of Lake Mary High School and the University of Central Florida where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Sociology.
Having been in the insurance industry for 20 years, Kryger has seen it all. He began as an Adjuster investigating claims, then moved into the Legal arena where he settled Bodily Injury Liability Claims with Attorneys, and continued forward to become a Licensed Agent where he achieved his life-long dream of opening up his own business, Pegasus Insurance Agency, located at 740 Florida Central Parkway.
Kryger is involved in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors for the University of Central Florida Alumni – Seminole County Chapter, and the Executive Council for Leadership Seminole. He also served on the City of Longwood Business Tax Receipt Study Committee earlier this year and volunteers for several other positions within Seminole County’s Chamber of Commerce.
In November, Kryger will be rappelling down eight stories (102 feet) of the International Motor Sports Building at One Daytona Building for a NASCAR Foundation and Easter Seals Fundraising Event. He was able to secure the spot after raising $1,000 for the cause!
The City of Longwood expressed sincere appreciation in having Pegasus Insurance Agency and Owner, Michael Kryger, as part of its business community.
