Yesterday, members of the Sanford Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of 24th Place and Lake Ave for a traffic violation.

The driver and passenger fled on foot, abandoning the vehicle, and were apprehended a short time later and placed in custody.

Investigators recovered five cell phones, two loaded firearms, Drug Paraphernalia, Marijuana, a Controlled Substance and over $12,000 in US Currency.

The driver, identified as Kenneth Moultrie was arrested and charged with Possession of Hydrocodone, Possession of Cannabis, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, leaving the scene of an accident, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Driving Without a Valid DL.

The passenger, identified as Anquan Collier was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
