Update at 10 pm: After WEAR 3 staff located what they believed to be the vehicle in question, they quickly shared the information with the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers responded to the scene and was able to seize the blue Ford Mustang with front end damage consistent with the fatal hit and run pedestrian crash. During this same time, the suspect driver, Charles F Noble, 34 of Pensacola, turned himself in to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a hit-and-run incident in Escambia County this morning which resulted in the death of a Pensacola woman.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 9 am this morning, a sedan, possibly a 2004-2005 Ford Mustang, struck a 49-year-old Pensacola woman at the 5400 block of Mobile Highway in Pensacola. The woman later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
The FHP is asking for help in locating the suspect, who left the scene of this crash. The suspect’s vehicle possibly has front right and side damage (headlight missing and passenger door mirror missing, both due to striking the pedestrian).
The FHP did not release the name of the deceased pedestrian.
